Well whats this education thing is all about. I know the fact that India is all ready, in a “get set go” mode…I mean what literacy means to the governmeNt. It means that all Indians can sign, know the alphabets or may be more aptly to pass their tenth exam. Fair enough …….I agree. But is that complete??? Education means something more may be it means what we should imply in our day to day life…….there are plenty instances I can show you where educated people behaving as insane (no more apt word I got to describe them). Here are some--
1.I went to watch a movie the other day. Prior to the movie there was our National Anthem , yeah we all stood up, stood in our attention ……..I saw 2 guys in the front row, fidgeting with their mobiles. Well dressed guys which show they coming from good families supposedly educated ones.
2.Do all educated ones manage to throw their cigarette butts (or may be a chit) in the bin while walking down the road???? But well we don’t throw it in the mall. That is our inner instinct. It works. Whats the prob if we think the roads to be a little more like the Malls??? At least in that way we can keep the roads clean.
3.How many of us face problems during bandhs??? People start burning the buses for an accident or so which ultimately exaggerates the problem itself. Man we need to understand and make others understand this one thing- burning a bus or a bandh is not the solution. See we are taking the revenge but not on the right ones. Maybe on some innocent souls. So whats the ultimate gain?????
4.We middle classes are all aware of the word corrupt…yeah India is of course corrupted. I mean isn’t that we have all heard about bribes and all. And everything in India just can’t go straight. People don’t have patience. They want things to get fast and bribe the workers. That is how things are working here. This is high time and corruption can only be eradicated through proper education.
5.India produces some of the world’s quickest and smartest brains. But still things go slow here. You seen the roads in America or china??? Mind you we were the worlds most civilized country in ancient times. But where things got lost?? Now what comes in other countries comes to India after 50 years…. Isn’t that sounds ridiculous. But thats where we lie. We are still behind. See we are educated but not taking it in the right direction. You know what guys, people don’t become crazy in US or any other developed countries just to become an engineer or a doctor. They listen to their heart. They work according to their wishes and not on their parents’. There lies the difference perhaps. Can’t we come out from the rat race that prevails all over India and start doing something different, something more creative for which we can proudly say one day “My India,that’s where I belong”. And then others being little jealous would ask "oh India??? the most cultured, educated , richest and the powerful nation of the world , thats where you come from?"
